I think that means you're done! I may be totally wrong, but it's worth a shot. You can always pull out the wrong parts and redo them! You will need fabric for backing and a pillow form. Trim the excess latch hook canvass to about an inch. Turn it down on the wrong side and tack down. You will need to miter the corners. Cut your backing fabric about an inch larger than the latch hook piece. Turn the inch to the wrong side and stitch down. Now join the backing and the latch hook by matching up the wrong sides and pinning all around, then by hand stitch the backing and latch hook together. Be sure to leave an opening for inserting the pillow form. Every drum kit has its own collection of un-musical squeaks and rattles to track down and eliminate before you use it to record tracks. The squeaky kick drum pedal is a common problem. Make sure you have some 3-in-1 oil on hand. Also make sure you have some tools like small screwdrivers, crescent wrenches, drum head keys, duct tape and small pieces of foam or cloth. These will come in handy for securing un-musical rattles... sometimes a piece of hardware can be put together correctly and tightened but it will still have some funky rattle that you can only get rid of by taping it down. The small pieces of foam or cloth will help you fine tune the amount of time that the head rings after the drum is hit - just as you don't want a totally dead room, you don't want totally dead drums. They'll sound like cereal boxes. Nor do you want things to ring on endlessly, muddying up the sound of the kit. So here's the really big advice: if you prep the room at 8 am and have the drummer show up at noon, you might be ready to record basic tracks by 4 or 6 pm. If it were my session, I'd reschedule it, because you have too much to do. I'd schedule a full day to prep the room. Then a half day to set up and mic the drums. THEN bring the band in.
